As part of my degree I needed to create an advertising campaign for the British Museum. We were put into groups and were required to act as though we were part of an advertising agency to get the whole campaign done.
Our original theme for the campaign was the concept of “Home”. We thought that this would an original idea, as the British Museum has artefacts from all over the world, and these objects live in the British Museum. The British Museum is their “Home”. We also thought that since the campaign would be scheduled to run over the summer period when there will be a surge in tourists coming into London for the 2012 Olympics, the idea of Home will have a sentimental value to our audience.
So with this idea we thought that with a little bit of help from Photoshop we would be able to place people from different eras, such as Cleopatra, Roman Gladiators, Aztec people, etc… into typical British homes. The contrast of both images together would hopefully be eye catching and appeal to our audiences’ curiosity.
So I thought I should post some of the work I’ve been doing for it on here. The posters aren’t 100% finished yet, but I’m pretty happy of how they’ve turned out so far.
